siuseppe is on a distinguished road
Hi all.
I want to simulate the flow and the free surface around a pier.
The geometry is very simple: only a channel and a pier.

I would perform a 3D simulation and a 2D simulation.
For the 3D I think that there are not problems.

But for the 2D I want simulate the problem using the vertical average of the velocity.

In this way I can compare the results of a 3D model and a 2D model with vertical velocity average.

Is it possible?

Thanks to all!!
