Quick question-extract volume

Hey guys

If I have initialized(t=0) a region in my overall domain with some fluid-1, how can I get the volume of that region?

It'll be great if someone could give me a quick solution. It is a bit urgent!
Thanks!

Maybe by lunching simulation and check variable "volume of fluid" at t=0 ?

Hi Macsim

I do not want to run the solver to find out this data.
I can use FAVOR to visualize this region...so on similar lines is there a way to extract the volume without running the solver and by running only the preprocessor?

Thanks
Akshay

Choose 'preprocess the simulation' from menu at the top. It only pre-processes, and does not run. The output from preprocessor only is prpgrf.xxxx, where xxxx is the name of the project. Go to Analyze tab & open prpgrf.xxxx. Go to Probe tab and select General History Data. In that list, select total volume of fluid (or similar name, based on your version of FLOW-3D). Select 'text output' button at the bottom, then 'Render'.
