How to link mass momentum sources and baffles

Hello all!

Has anybody know how to link a baffle geometry (stl. surface) with a mass momentum source? I want to introduce a mass flow in this surface with the exported stl. file. Fell free to ask if is not clear.

I read in flow3D help that this must be done in the prepin. file but I don´t know how…

Thanks everybody!!! :)

Do you want to insert the .stl file of baffle into your model?

Dear hanif pourshahbaz,

At least I get it! Is something that you have to do from de prepin. file because is not included in the Flow3d GUI. I hope you know how to do, conversely if you don´t know I can send you an example.

Thanks for replaying.

Best regards.

Hi,

First you have to define a baffle with a .stl file. After that generate a mass momentum source with characteristics you want for the baffle. Go to the prepin file find ‘nvtyp’ and set the value to 6. In that way the .stl file will be linked with the mass momentum source.

Regards.
