Default Boundary conditions for sediment scour model

Dear experts,
I am wondering if and how to define boundary conditions when using the sediment scour module of FLOW-3D (v11.1.3.1). When sediment is added, the model somehow needs to have information on the sediments e.g. leaving the domain to solve the advection-diffusion-equation.

I know that one can set sediment concentrations and this is totally clear to me at the upstream boundary. But how to handle the downstream boundary? Is sediment (bed load and suspended load) "automatically" transferred out of the domain? I quite often make the experience that sediment accumulates shortly upstream of the downstream end of the domain.

Thanks a lot for your help and valuable advises

If you use an outflow boundary condition the fluid (+sediment) should just be able to exit your simulated domain.

what about the finish time and the time step
as if i want to simulate two hours how can i use big time step without error
