Hello Dear Experts & friends;

i've been working on sediment scour caused by submerged jet using flow-3D software more than one year to my phd thesis. i was faced with the strange problem in my model as the deposition(ridge) is not formed in my model, i've tried everything that has come to my mind to solve this problem, but i didn't succeed until now. A bed made up of uniform sand particles with d50=2.46 mm. i've studied one of the training Flow3d file named "modeling sediment scour(TN 62)" before, where it was written "Limitations of the model are the particle size; large sediment particles".
i'm so confused & don't know what should i do. i would say that there are still problems in the flow-3d sediment transport equation. with regards to my sediment size is coarse, Whether this problem can be due to this? i've used the latest version of Flow3D(v 11.2), Is this limitation still there?

i would appreciate any comments & suggestions you may have.

thanks
hamid

Dear user
I think you should do some works, as a first, you should say about your physics and your real conditions? did you define appropriate mesh block? did you create appropriate boundary conditions? have you ever assigned appropriate initial conditions?
Say them more clear and then we can share more.
Best regards
Hossein
