Hi there, I am modeling a Barrage Weir in flow-3d. Without radial gate model is working perfectly. But now I want to introduce a movable radial gate with a speed of 6in/30sec. How can I achieve it? I have added a moving and simple deforming model and I am not sure how to use it. can someone please elaborate on how to do it. thanks

In the geometry tab, select your gate component and adjust the moving object properties. You'll want your gate component to be a separate component.
When your gate component is selected, look in the Moving Object Properties and you'll want to make the moving object type a prescribed motion (look in the component properties window below the components). Then edit the properties to be a rotation about a fixed axis and define your coordinates of the axis. Then prescribe the angular velocity in the initial/prescribed velocities tab. |
