Hello
I want to simulate selective laser melting (SLM) of 316L powder in Flow-3D Hydro 2023 and for this I entered the fluid viscosity table in Flow-3d Hydro 2023 which is 10^6 in the solid state and about 0.005 in the molten state. But the processing time of the software is very high and is about 1000 days which is not possible to process and analyze. Does anyone have a solution in this regard?

Are you sure you want to simulate (liquid) steel with a software package designated to water?
Try using FLOW-3D Cast or AM, depending on your specific research field.

I do not have access to Flow 3D AM and CAST software, and I only have this software, and in its material section I have defined the properties of 316L steel, but I have a problem with the viscosity section and it gives a very long solution time. Does anyone know how to enter viscosity?

Hi, Unfortunately, you can not solve them in hydro which has different solver than CAST/WELD/AM. I can help you if you share the prepin and supporting files at simulationsinfinite@gmail.com (https://www.youtube.com/@InfiniteSimulations-amv)
