Hello dears users,

Is it possible to draw polygonal baffles, in order to build a infinitly narrow wall?

Thanks

Well, I think it is impossible. But I know that we can make initial fluid region and mass source/sink component as STL file.

So I suppose, can we monitor the flow rates using STL files? For example, We build a thin STL file and set iqsr=1, opor(n)=1, tobs(n)=0.~int, qsrobs(n,m)=0. then check the flux at STL component from general history. (But I didn't try it. Sorry. ^_^)

In fact my purpose was to build a solid plane, not in order to measure a flowrate...I have already build a very thin wall, but I just wanted to know if it was possible to build such plane with a baffle...

Thanks for your response, that is what I have already use, a STL, but in my geometry.

yes, I know that you can use an STL to define a baffle (not simply a "volume" geometry).

I think it requires a customization that in FlowScience probably already exist, (or they'll add it to the new release) you can ask to FlowScience for that.

Hello Julien, You can use a baffle to act as a thin wall. You just don't select flux plane. Melissa

Thanks Melissa,

but I need a polygonal geometry, not just a plane...that's why it seems to be complicated...

i have problems with baffles
i don't select flux plane to use baffles as thin walls
half of this wall is in sediment and it acts like spur dike
but when i use the FAVOR it didn't showed the part that is in sediment
what should i Do?

Thank you by the way
