Dear Experts
I am using Ver 9.4 and we have a license with limitation up to 200,000 cells. however when I defined a mesh about 150,000 cells, the preprocessing is stoped and there is a message that the total number of active and passive cells is above 200,000 and I cannot run the simulation. I dont know what is the meaning of active and passive cells and why the numbers of these quantities more than total mesh that I defined?? how can I run the simulations with 200,000 cells?

Regards
Atiieh

Dear Atiieh Rostami

As I understood your problem right you have to take into account boundary cells. so amount of the cells will increase.

Dear Armen A. Ghirghidov
Thank you for your attention.unfortunately I do not understand your suggestion exactly. I just define the number of cells in each directions and I don't know what should I do for this case?

Regards
Atiieh

Dear Atiieh Rostami,

I mean boundary conditions have one or two cell layers. If you want to simulate volume 10x10x10=1000 cells (for example) you will get 12x12x12=1728 cells. Hope this will explain.

Regards, Armen.
