hello~everyone

I have a problem about ...heat transfer to porous media.
the model is porous media with water ...
the initial condition is 300K (include water and porous media and the porous media is copper)
when the water is heating 400K and the porous is only 320k...

I don't know why the porous medis's temperature is so low...

Where does the heat come from? Is hot fluid coming from a mesh boundary or is there viscous heating or another heat source?

thanks !

from the flow3D's user guide,I found....
OSPOR(m)
0.0
Surface area per unit bulk volume for porous component m (used for heat transfer only).
but I am not clearly about how to use...

the "Surface area per unit bulk volume for porous component m" ... does it means the holes? or the component?

It means the total surface area inside all the pores in a unit bulk volume of the component. It is a function of the internal structure of the porous media and can be different for the same volumetric porosity. For examples, extruded filters or sponge or foam filters all have different surface area, even though their porosities may be the same.

thank you!
so... if i want the porous media have the heat transfer effect, the ospor can't use the default value 0 ?
you said that means the "total surface area inside all the pores in a unit bulk volume of the component",do you mean the all the porous media's surface area?

that's correct, ospor must be positive for heat transfer to take place. and yes, it includes all the porous media surface area.
