Surface tension model
 

Dear all,

I have a question about the contact angle in surface tension model. Is this the angle between the liquid and the mould wall? What's the difference between this angle and the 'component contact angle' in 'Surface properties' listed in Component properties under the label 'mesh and geometry'?

I notice that these two could have different values. Then, which one is the contact angle between the liquid and the wall?

Good question, Yang. Both angles have the same meaning - the contact angle between the free surface and the mold wall. The 'component contact angle' overrides the contact angle defined in the fluid properties. Thus each geometry component can have its own wetting condition.
