Hi everybody.
I'm trying to simulate a two balded wind turbine in a lateral wind....( yaw position). in this case, wind is not purely axial and then the behavior of the two blades are different.
When one blade is going to the wing( advancing blade) , the other is rotating in the opposite direction( retreating blade). Then, every thing about the aerodynamic forces depends upon the instantaneous position of the blades and every thing will be unsymmetrical.
now my question is that can you please help me how to simulate this kind of situations?

thank you in advance.

It is certainly possible, although may take some CPU time to finish, depending on the size and thickness of the blades. Should use one-fluid confined flow model (fluid is air) and the fixed-axis, coupled-motion GMO model for the blades. The blades should be built in a CAD tool and imported into FLOW-3D as an STL object.
