how to simulate backward facein step flow?

hello dear users
I want to simulate a backward facing step flow and I'm new to flow-3d
I found this "TN 81 | Tota, Prasad V., Turbulent Flow Over a Backward-Facing Step Using the RNG k-ε Model"
I tried to resimulate the model used on that paper
but as I said I'm new user and need more detailed note about that paper for example:
finish time , features of physics , units used for geometry and so on
please help me this is very important for me to understand it well to do my own project.

finish time is arbitrary,it's important that flow dill steaty
in physics use "gravity and viscosity..." and unit "SI"
