Hello, I am doing my final project at this time. The project consists of modeling the transport of sand due to wind and see how it behaves when it strikes a section of railroad track.

For now, the ideas I have are these:

- Pneumatic transport method -> Eurelian two phase model (CFD): Solid (sand), gas (air)
Steady-State to the input speed of the particles of sand.
Wind-Field

more ideas? :confused:

On the other hand, I wonder if you know any way to design the roadbed easily with the desing modeler.

Depends on the number of particles you want to include on your model, you may consider using Langrangian tracking instead of Eulerian. That would give you a more accurate idea of the particle trajectories.

Furthermore, at least in ANSYS FLUENT, you can very easily apply particle deposition boundary conditions in the Lagrangian approach, while doing so in an Eulerian approach can be a little tricky.

I research about sediment sand on the wall .i have a question about how i can simulation and determinant amount sand deposition in wall with Ansys Fluent with DPM (discrete phase model)
