Question Fluent VoF filling simulation

Dear all,

I'm trying to simulate the filling process of a tank with an high viscous fluid (about 200 Pa*s, at present a newtonian behavior is assumed) using FLUENT VoF model.
The tank is filled with air at beginning. I attach a clarifying picture of one simulation.
No energy model is applied and, due to simulation instabilities a laminar viscous model is implemented.
Boundary conditions are very simple, because I've defined a velocity inlet at the end of the protrusion and a pressure-outlet on the two upper edges. All other domain boundaries are defined as walls.
Despite an almost continuous reversing flow message (probably due to the movement of the fluid column) that I think not to be so critical, I am surprised that deposed layers are not able to collapse in a more continuous region (I expect some air occlusions but not so copious).

So my question is, what I forget to define ? In order to try solving this problem I set air viscosity value equal to zero but with no improvements .
Could anyone help me? Thank you

Maybe, have a look to the value of your surface tension ?

Hi, thank you for your interest and for any suggestion you could give me ...

Both the .dat and the .cas files are bigger than the forum attachment size (I think due to the mesh size) so if you send me any contact I can e-mail them directly.

What do you think?
