Multiphase flow in porous media and relative permeabilities

Hi dear all

I have serious problem in multiphase modeling in porous media by fluent. I would be appreciated if you could help me on this.

As the equations for multiphase fluid flows in porous media say, in the case of unsteady simulation of displacements of one fluid by another in porous media (e.g. drainage), the relative permeability of wetting phase and non wetting phase and capillary pressure change based on the relative permeability curves, and the capillary pressure curve for the fluids–porous medium system. It means the relative permeability for each phase changes as its saturation value change.

I was wondering to know that is Fluent capable of considering that ? and how?

For example if a porous region has the permeability 1e-10 m2 and is saturated with water (Sw=1) and an oil is about to enter to porous region under pressure, what should I insert the permeability values for Water and oil in the Fluent and how can I consider the effect of capillary pressure curve?

Thank you very much

Hi Ebrahim
did you find the answer??
i also need to define relative permeability for two phase flow that vary with phases saturation. i think it should be define as a udf code
if u have done it please help me:)
