Evaporation and condensation Model in Fluent

Hello everyone,

I am trying to simulate a problem in Fluent, that involves evaporation and condensation of water. I am using VOF model for multiphase along-with evaporation condensation model provided by fluent. But it does not seem to work correctly.

Can anyone tell me which models should I use in order to simulate evaporation and condensation phenomena of water. How can I evaluate the evaporation and condensation frequencies for my particular problem.

Please help me with this problem. I would really appreciate that.
Thank you

Is there any reason why you are using VOF. If I am not wrong the evaporation and Condensation do not work with VOF. I suggest you switch to mixture model.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I also wanted to know about the evaporation and condensation frequencies. If anyone can tell me how to set the values of these constants it would be a great help.

Thanks a lot.

You can read this page on researchgate http://www.researchgate.net/post/How...ling_in_Fluent . It might help.

amy24d may you mention the type of flow pattern you hope to study in your simulations?
