Default defining nacl properties in a one phase mixture

hello all,

i have a one phase problem involving constantly change of mass fractions of nacl in a water-nacl mixture by a source terms.
in order to define the mixture i need to supply nacl properties. it is easy to find properties of varied compositions of salt water but less common it is to define the donation of the nacl to the solution properties.

id like to know what are my options to make an intelligent definement for my problem in that way.

thanks.

It sounds to me like you might want to use a mixture model. This will allow you to define the properties of the water-salt mixture.

You might want to define some of these properties using user-defined functions to give the concentration-dependent behaviour you are looking for. But you should only look into UDFs once you know for sure that there are no options in Fluent GUI or TUI that allow you to do what you want to do, as this always makes things easier long-term.

Overall your question is really vague though, I have no idea whether I have the wrong-end-of-the-stick. I would recommend you look into Fluent's options for multiphase simulations and decide for yourself what best suits your own needs.
