I have queries regarding EDEM capabilities.
I am to simulate a fluidized bed with 3 phases. Solid phase spherical particle of size 40-100 mm are being fluidized by upward gas flow in a column of 0.447 m diameter with a height of 2 m. In Fluent limitation is that particle is bigger than mesh size. I even try Macroscopic particle model addon but it cant handle dense bed interparticle interactions. Now, I am working on EDEM + Fluent coupling. Can EDEM + fluent coupling can handle 3 phases ? Literature is very ambigious regarding this matter. Regards |
