VOF open channel flow simulation

Hi everyone, I am simulating a hydraulic jump in the stilling basin. At the Beginning, flow starts from a rectangular channel. Fluent solved the problem but as you see in the pictures, there is a water surface reduction at the beginning...and I cannot find the reason :confused::confused:. I will appreciate your help.:):):)
