Eulerian wall film: missing mass

Dear Colleagues,

I have a problem with modelling of ewf through dpm collection. When I do "sum" in "volume integrals" window the calculated total mass of film doesn't correspond to injection mass (subtracting droplets mass in flow). Anybody had the same problem and how did you solve it? I changed time steps, urf, dpm and ewf solution options but unsuccessfully.

Best regards,
Mr Bennet.

Mass low in EWF model

Hi there,

Were you able to solve the issue? I am experiencing similar problem of mass loss.

Thanks,
Puru

Hi, Mr. Puru,

Select minimal thickness as small as possible and the discrepancy will be smaller.

Best regards,
Mr. Bennet.

Hi
I have water evaporate need to be condense on the glass
Is it required to activate the Eulieran wall film please?
I can't intialize it says can't intialize Eulieran wall film!!!

Hello MrBennet and Puru,

Have you solved this problem of mass inconsistency between injected mass and film mass? From version 18, there is no option to specify minimal film thickness. The film mass depends a lot on the maximum film thickness, while is independent of the mass rate.

Have you found a method to ensure the mass consistency between injection and deposited film in V18 or V19?

BTW, have you found a method to consider the liquid-wall interaction, which determines the maximal film thickness?

Regards,

Jinxiang
