DPM cone injection Problem

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Everyone,
I'm having difficulty simulating a cone injection, settings seen in photo. I cant seem to simulate the spray properly using injection cone, i just get a doughnut. When i use surface injection there's no problem. Can anyone advise?
Thanks

Hi Chris,

Did you work out how to fix your problem? I need to simulate spray injection and wanted to know if you could suggest any tutorials to learn about multiphase simulations and DPM in fluent.:)

Hi p.acharya,

Yeah I solved my problem, I was using the wrong injection type for what I was trying to model, I used the pressure swirl atomizer injection instead.

With regard to learning multiphase flow and DPM there are some good tutorials on youtube like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0niw_dUBRU
But I would highly recommend signing up to the free multiphase course on learncax. It goes through everything multiphase and even has a couple of exercises.

Hi,

Thanks for your help ! I'll go through the youtube tutorials.

Here you're handsome, You just change the injection type while you didn't understand Because of what that injection (cone) model don't work. May be it's uncompatible with unsteady simulations? Thank you for your advicing.
