Dear Colleagues,

I successfully ran the oscillation of a single phase droplet in air. Now I am trying to simulate the oscillation of a core-shell structured liquid droplet in air. The problem involves three phases: liquid 1 in the core, liquid 2 for shell, and finally air. I applied the same modeling strategy that I used for the two-phase problem, but it failed.

I guess there must be something not right dealing with volume fraction of three phases. For two phase system, I did not have to worry about volume fraction, as it varies from 0 to 1 and I patched liquid with volume fraction 1.

What must be added or modified (maybe UDF to define volume fraction function for the three phases), if I want to extend a two-phase model to a three-phase model in Fluent?

Could anyone kindly share your idea or experience (or an example) with me?
