Gas-Liquid Airlift Reactor with DPM

Hi,

I want to simulate a two-phase (gas-liquid) flow airlift reactor with water as the primary phase and bubble as DPM. The bubble coming in from sparger at the bottom of the reactor. Water has zero velocity at initial and doesn't leave the reactor at the end.

1. Should i activate the multiphase model or just go with 1 phase (water) and DPM (bubble)?
2. Since the water velocity initially is zero, can the bubble as a discrete phase agitate the water so that it will circulate?

I don't have any clue on that, what i want to get is the residence time and circulation time from bubbles. Any help will be appreciated

Thanks
