Modeling drying in CFD analysis

Hello,

I am interested in modeling the drying process of a porous media material. Our main goal is to try to understand the drying time and the change in the water content in the material, over time.

This would certainly be a transient simulation and I plan on running a 2D simulation before moving to a 3D one. I would prefer using Fluent for this process.

The domain consists of a block of the porous media placed in a chamber with air moving with a velocity and temperature higher than that of the block.

Any ideas or thoughts to model this system would be highly appreciated !!

Thanks
