Hi guys, I am still new in Fluent so any guidance and sharing of experience from you guys is tremendously appreciated.
I am working on to simulate the flow pattern of crude oil and water in a horizontal pipe. When they flowed together, it will create an emulsion. So my question is:- 1) Can I simulate the flow pattern of crude oil and water with presence of emulsion? For instance when the oil velocity is low and water velocity is high it will create "dispersed oil in water flow". 2) For the phases, primary phase is water and secondary phase is oil. Should I add emulsion properties as a phase too? 3) Do you have any idea how can I simulate the form of emulsion so that my experimental flow pattern is in good agreement with simulation flow pattern? P/S : Below I attached the pictures of what I get for dispersed oil in water from experiment and simulation works but I think my simulation is totally wrong because it doesn't show the emulsion/bubble form when compare to experiment. |
