Parcels/particles injection

Hello,

I have an issue regarding parcels/particles in Fluent. I want to use a surface as a starting point to send particles to my fluid domain. I have set that properly (I think) in the injection dialog box, meaning I have set the correct surface, the particle diameter, and the flow rate.

However, no matter which time step I use, fluent always injects the same number of particles into the domain. How can I control that number?

I have a defined number of particles per second that I want to introduce to the domain.

Thanks in advance!

Faces on the Surface

Hi

The number of particles injected depend up on the number of mesh faces on the injection surface. If you wish to inject specified number, then do not use surface injection. Use single, or group, or FILE, or UDF. Another alternative is to ensure that the surface has required number of faces.

For the "file " injection I created a file using ((x y z u v w diameter temperature mass-flow) name)

However how would this help in getting a specified number of particles to be tracked. I have a surface that has 900 cells and I need to check for 20000,30000,60000 number of particles from this surface
