I'm trying to simulate water jet impingement. When the water exit the nozzle it suppose to hit the plate , however In my simulation the flow reverse.
I have inserted the gravity effects.

any suggestion ?

It appears that the jet is trying to go against the gravity. If that's not the correct direction, then change the sign for gravity value; if positive, change to negative.

If it is supposed to rise upward, like a fountain, then you need to increase the flow rate.

Thanks for the reply.
It’s correct gravity. Gravity in the positive x direction ( right side ).
The velocity at the inlet is 2 m/s

The image you shared is rotated CCW. Is it a 2D axisymmetric case?

In any case, gravity alone will not do the job. You have to also ensure that operating pressure reference location and operating density are defined using correct values. If gravity is in positive x direction, then the minimum value of x in you domain should be the reference location for pressure. Density of gas should be given as operating density.
