Degassing boundary condition in 3-phase euler-euler

Hi,

I was just wondering: I've done many simulations now using the degassing boundary condition for a gas-water mixture (gaslift column). Up to now, this worked just fine, but now I wanted to add another bubble size to the mixture and therefore added a 3rd phase (which is similar to the 2nd phase only with a different phase diameter).

When I run the transient simulation, everything goes just fine untill the gas phase reaches the top (which is the degassing boundary). There gas seems to pile up and continuity does not converge any longer.

So the question: is the degassing boundary condition not suitable for 3 phase simulations and would a pressure-outlet be a functional solution for this problem?

Thanks!
