Hello, I was wondering how it would be possible to model cooling of hot exhaust (modeled as moist air) with dehumidification (condensation formation)? I am an absolute beginner at modeling multiphase flows but I have used Fluent in the past to model single phase flow of air. The reason I need help on this is because I am trying to find the overall heat transfer coefficient (U value) between the moist air traveling past the surface of a heat exchanger with a cold fluid traveling in the heat exchanger. After I find the U value, I am able to find the required heat transfer surface area based off of the cooling load and LMTD. I modeled this using moist air without condensation but I would like to try to validate my results using ANSYS Fluent because I know that condensation on the surface of the heat exchanger would increase the film coefficient of the moist air. I attached some pictures of the hand calculations I used to find the required cooling load and the excel calculator. If someone could help me get started on this it would be much appreciated.
