Hi there,
I trying to model a conjugate heat transfer problem of a cutting rotor, which is driven by a gearbox which is connect to an inner shell and this inner shell is connected to an outershell which is the rotor. You can assume all the three are like cylinders and rotating along z axis at 100 rpm. The innershell is a filled with coolant and sealed with gearbox no inlet and outlet for the coolant. Now I am modelling this in transient multiphase. I created the solid domains and fluid domains and in order to rotate it, i am using frame motion for the solid domains which is rotating at 100 rpm. The gear box is generating a heat flux of 340kW/m3. the velocity of the coolant is reaching e+10 and the maximum temperature is reaching 2470C and the solution's convergence is also exponentially increasing . I got some floating point exception error and i some how cleared it. Can you help me where im going wrong. I have tried multiple ways. Am i following the correct way

The model you are building is quite detailed, but with a flow rate of e+10 and temperatures close to 2500°C, there is definitely a problem with the boundary conditions or material setup. I have encountered similar errors when using an inappropriate rotating frame for the fluid region. You might try checking your mesh and step times.

Im currectly using min of 2mm and max of 100mm for the surface mesh and 2mm to 64mm of poly-hexacore for volume mesh. with this my minimum orthogonal quality is 1.06480e-01 & Maximum Aspect Ratio = 2.81039e+02. time step in using is 0.0001
what do you suggest
