Hello. I have simulated with RSM (steady time) an experiment by Hoekstra. The tangential and axial velocities are very close to the experimental values. I then inject 11 classes of particles from 0.5 μm to 5 μm. The weird is that the efficiency if the smaller particles (0.5, 0.6, 0.8 μm) are greater than 1 and 1.3 μm, and then the efficiency values rise again. The lower wall of the dustbin is set to "trap" and the other walls to "reflect". There are no experimental data on collection efficiency per particle class. d50 is calculated and then a logistic function is used for overall efficiency. Due to low particle loadings, one way coupling is selected. Any thoughts? Anything would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
