Hello everyone!
I have been stuck with my pyrolysis cfd model since a year and I have been figuring out where I have misconfigured my model. It is a laminar eulerian multiphase model with two phases. Phase 1: (Gas mixture) with Nitrogen at 6.7 Nl/min and pyrolysis products Density:Ideal gas while the conductivity and viscosity are mass-weighted mix Granular Phase 2: (solid mixture) with biomass and char at 1g/min Density: volume-weighted while the conductivity and viscosity are mass-weighted mix. I have chosen the granular temperature model as "phase property" with "syamlal obrien" models for viscosity and radial distribution while "algebraic" method for granular temperature. The issue is that I have my model working fine thermally when i heat it to 500°C with physical contours of temperatures but however, my chemical reaction doesn't seem to react as it should for 500°C. I had implemented my reactions onto the heterogenous reactions part of the multiphase model with its Arrhenius kinetic parameters. Any insights or help would be greatly appreciated! ![]() ![]()
