UDF compiled problem
Hello to everyone.
I am new in this forum. I am an italian mechanical engineer and i'd like to learn deeply Fluent . So i am trying to make the help tutorials, and in particulary the 15th (" Using Dynamic Mesh"). When I try to compile the UDF file the console says to me that there are problems. So seeing the working folder I found a txt file named CORTEXERROR where is written : "Error [cortex] [time 8/11/13 13:14:34] The UDF library you are trying to load (libudf) is not compiled for 2ddp on the current platform (win64)". I am probably able to figured out which is the problem but I am not sure and I 'd like to hear the opinion of someone else more expert than me. Thanks to everyone that wanted help me and have a good Sunday |
I had this and related errors several times.
For myself I find the easiest and best working UDF activation on Windows using this steps: 1. Case and UDF in the same domain 2. open a console and compiling the UDF with standard Windows command 3. Starting Fluent by console 4. defining UDF Libary and compile -> Load 5. activating UDF - This steps might seem not perfect or not practible for every user (non-windows, natchfile etc.) But I made good experience with using the windows console in this sizes. P.S: Not compiled is a direct hint. First compile every UDF, the UDF should have a +.c ending. |
Thanks Jim
I found a discussion in UDF forum that have helped me to fix the problem. In my laptop was installed Microsoft Visual 2005 and It was too old. So I downloaded the 2010 Version and I followed the same step that you have just adviced to me. And everything works. That's cool Bye |
