Hey guys!

I am trying to simulate a reactor with a pressure based inlet. basically a fluid flows from a high pressure vessel via a small pipe into the reactor. after reaching the pressure of the vessel a valve closes and no further fluid can flow into or out of the reactor.

my idea was to simulate the inlet as a pressure inlet. my problem is, that after the injection the pressure in the reactor drops. consequently the pressure inlet in fluent releases further fluid into the reactor. i would like to prevent this secondary flow into the reactor by "closing" the inlet with an UDF. is there a way to set the massflow of a pressure inlet to zero via an UDF?

I just found a way to change the inlet pressure, but not to directly regulate the massflow.

I hope you can help me out with this one. Thank you very much!

David
