velocity profile UDF on porous jump edge
Hey,
I am confused to apply a velocity profile UDF on a porous jump edge in the domain...... NEED HELP URGENTLY! |
You can't. Velocity profile is for velocity-inlet condition.
|
You could try a DEFINE_ADJUST routine to force the velocity to have a certain value, in a certain range of the domain. But I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you want. Maybe this topic helps you? http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/flu...oundary-2.html

Replacing the velocities over an interior surface is the explicit way of doing that. You can also define a fan there and assign a pressure jump profile over the fan in a way to receive your desired velocity profile.
As folks pointed, it is not clear that what your question is. |
Thank u all for the response people....
to clear my question: basically i want to develop a desired gaussian profile from the porous jump using a UDF...... I am not clear how to do that.....! Thank u |
Farid....
I have just tried fan boundary condition and used the specified boundary pressure profile.... It is a good idea to use it instead of porous jump... but it is not giving me the desired profile...... Help me out Thank u |
