Hey everyone...

I am working on a problem associated with flow through pipes with orifice plate. I want to establish a parabolic flow nature or a much flatter profile depending on laminar or turbulent flows, at the entrance of the pipe which contains orifice plate. Can anyone explain or guide me how to do it ? A tutorial file would be very helpful.

Thank you

Did you even search anywhere before you post this message???

Seriously...

1. When you posted this message, one of the recent thread names was "SOS.udf inlet parabolic velocity for aerodynamic analysis". That is almost exactly what you also ask...

2. If I type in the Fluent help "parabolic inlet", the second result is a detailed explanation of how to write a udf for a parabolic inlet.

3. If I type in Google "parabolic inlet udf", I get many, many results that point to an example of a udf for a parabolic inlet.

Please don't see this as an attack, so you don't need to defend yourself. I am honestly curious to know. Why didn't you do these searches yourself? Or did you do them, but found them not suitable? If so, why didn't you at least mention that in your question?

Okay. Tip: if you have already found something but could not understand that, mention that. Then people at least know that they don't have to point you to that result.

But the results that I talk about, have step-by-step instructions. What more do you want?
