Basic question regarding compiling a UDF

All,

This is a general question regarding compiling and loading UDF into ANSYS Fluent.

Do I have to run a case first without the UDF and get results before going back, compiling the UDF and then re-running the case?

I keep getting "motion history missing" errors. What could this refer to?

I have checked the UDF manual but it only addresses how to create, compile and interpret UDFs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

No, you need to compile the UDF first, hook it to your problem (initial conditions, DEFINE_ADJUST, properties, etc.), initialize it and run.
