Hello,

I use the dpm model in a domain containing a hot solid. However, the droplets do not appear to exchange heat with the solid. The droplets don't cool the solid (I have activated the law 1,2,3 and 6 in the injection for the droplet). The heat exchange with the droplet can only take place with the gas and after I must see the impact of the gas on the solid ? Or It's not this? Someone have an explication or can help me ?

Hi cdiako,

I am also working in a similar problem: spray cooling of hot metal bodies using DPM. It seems that the cool water is not quenching my metal body and the heat transfer is just being produced by the direct contact of the air stream.

Have you solved the problem? Could you provide any hint about what is happening?
