UDF for linear temperature variation

Hello People,

I am modelling a coolant channel in the shape of a rectangular prism with the following conditions:

Inlet temperature, Ti = 130 K (at the inlet face)
Outler pressure Pe = 70 bar at outlet face
A constant mass flux of 21800 kg/m2s methane flow
Top wall temperature of the rectagular prism (top face) = 130 K
Bottom wall temperature of the rectangular prism (bottom face) = 600 K

the dimensions for the rectangular prism are as follows:

L=300 mm B= 0.889 mm and H= 1.778 mm

Now i want to give a linear temperature variation for the 2 side walls and the fluid flowing inside it between the top wall temperature and bottom wall temperature. I am completely new to this concept of udf. Kindly help in programming the same. Thanks a lot in advance.

You will want to use a DEFINE_PROFILE. Look in the Fluent Manual for an example (example 1) that is pretty close to what you want. Just replace pressure by temperature, and change the equation.
