Default Linking initial data and source terms from UDF to Fluent in simulating heat pipe

Hello,

I am currently using a UDF to simulate flow through a heat pipe. The UDF uses an initialization function to set the initial temperature, pressure, and mass flow of the heat pipe. I have been able to compile, hook the functions, and run the simulation with no error messages and I am getting reasonable results for pressure and temperature. However, the source terms (for momentum and mass) do not seem to be directly linked to Fluent. The resulting velocity profile is completely incorrect even though it is being formulated properly in the UDF. There is no difference in the velocity profile when I remove the source terms

Any help with this issue or even a better understanding of how data is passed from the UDF to Fluent would be appreciated.
