Hello everyone,

I am in the process of setup of a multiphase flow and I need to develop user-defined function for drag coefficient. In the 'Phase Interaction' tab I chose 'Drag' and gidaspow model. And now, for drag factor, I want to choose user-defined and write a script with my own function which will calculate drag coefficient. How can I do that? I am just starting with Fluent. If you advise me some preliminary steps, so I can follow them up, I will appreciate it very much.

Thanks!

There is an example UDF for that in the UDF user guide.

Dear Micael,

I built and loaded udf ('custom_drag' from fluent manual) successfully and without errors. But it was not appeared in dialog box (Warning message says 'No user-defined functions have been loaded'). Are you aware of this problem?

It means that you did not build and load the udf successfully and without errors. Even though you think so.

You probably missed the errors that come onto your screen when you click 'build'. These errors are not red, you have to look for them in the 'normal' black text in the text user interface.
