ChanonB is on a distinguished road
Hello

I'm tying to simulate the bubbling fluidized bed using injection by file but I don't sure how to calculate the mass flowrate for each particle. Can anybody help me?

Thank you

Particle do not have a mass flow rate, only mass. The mass flow rate mentioned in the file is for the parcel. Simplest assumption is equal distribution. Since you know the number of parcels you want to inject and you also know the mass of one particle, mass flow rate is given by the ratio of total mass flow rate of discrete phase and product of number of parcels and mass of one particle, i.e.,

\frac{\dot{m}_{total}}{m_p\times N_p}

where N_p is number of parcels in your injection file.

Mass flow rate of particles has to come from the real system that you are trying to simulate using CFD. No one else can give you that value. Mass flow rate of each parcel has to be calculated using the procedure I shared in my previous post.

I'd recommend using forum instead of PM so that I could be corrected if I make a mistake and others could learn from whatever we are discussing.
