I have problem in compiling UDF in ANSYS FLUENT.

I have installed Visual studio in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0
My ansys fluent is intalled inside C:\Program Files.

The error it is showing while loading is :
open_udf_library: The file is not specified

Please anyone help me how to get out of this problem.I am using 32-bit system with Windows XP.

the problem might be setting of environment variables. If so kindly let me know how to set them. What path I need to give.

Do you start fluent from the visual studio command prompt?type in fluent.exe 2ddp(put in 3d or 3ddp .... depending on your case).
to set the env. variables start>fluent>set enviromental variables. this adds fluent to system path, then http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/blo...fluent-vc.html
remember to run fluent from v.s command prompt

Dear Jack,

I want to clear these 2 different methods for linking (for both, you need to add FLUENT to path):
1) If you want to launch FLUENT from VC++ command prompt, you won't need to set other parameters which I told in my blog; this method is not permanent and consequently, you need to launch FLUENT by VC++ when ever you need UDF compilation.
2) If you've added VC++ variables to your path, you don't need to launch FLUENT from command prompt, when you start FLUENT normally, you can compile your UDF.

Bests,
