Is it possible to input velocity profile as a text or dat file using fluent udf?

yes, you can write an udf to read from a file. there are examples in this forum, have a look at it.

Velocity as a function of a variable is given as an example. I did look for examples, but I did not come across any where velocity profile is given as a text file.

you wont find the solution to all your problems on the internet. you need to find useful information and adapt it to your case.
