New User of Fluent
Hello,
I have started using fluent for some basic flow problem along gambit for mesh. But for complicated geometries, i heard catia is best for modelling and gambit is for meshing. IS this good solution for complex geometries. Can anybody give tutorials on gambit for meshing. Different kinds of schemes are ther, which schemes to be used for which purpose, i m confused in all this. and how to clean grid n geometries? or should i think of any other software for meshing? Because i want to analyze fuel Injector. So please give advice me on meshing Can anybody help me in meshing. Thanks in advance Abhimanyu |

Except when the geometry is very simple, I do not recommend gambit for beginner. It is also very outdated. Why are you not using up to date Anysys meshing utilities? You should already have them, no need to bother with gambit. Although gambit allows very precise control of meshing parameters, it also requires a lot of user inputs and interactions, which takes time away from focusing on other tasks. |
Thanks
I am doing simple problems with gambit and fluent but now i want to go for complex problems so.. Is Ansys better for meshing and analysing than gambit+fluent? |

Ansys does however make programs that do. Fluent being one of those programs. There are others too. |
