Hi everybody,

I would like to know if it's possible to implement (via UDF) the PLIC algorithm in Ansys fluent to evaluate the interface between two phases.

Thank you in advance,

Andrea

Hi.........
U dont have to ......... as fluent already has PLIC reconstruction algorithm...... Go to VOF Model...... U will find Geo-Reconstruct..... thats it..... But mind it... use explicit volume fraction tracking while selecting model....not implicit one....

regards,
bharat

Hi Bharat,

thank you for your reply. As I'm new to multiphase simulation I would like to ask you some tips. My aim is to reproduce a bathtub vortex and the related gas entrainment phenomena; I have already tried to use the VOF model (with geo-rec and explicit volume fraction tracking, not knowing it's actually the PLIC ) but without success, if you have any suggest I would be very glad.

Regards,

Andrea
