hey guys,
I am trying to solve the decompsiton problem with udf DEFINE_DPM_SOURCE , as I use the macro: C_DPMS_YI, which follow the example in the tuturial, to determine the source term for different species. But the following Errors keep coming: Stack backtrace generated for process id 1642 on signal 1: /ansys_inc/v121/fluent/fluent12.1.4/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.12.1.4[0x12c75fd] /ansys_inc/v121/fluent/fluent12.1.4/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.12.1.4[0x12c7b03] /lib64/libpthread.so.0[0x358aa0eb10] libudf/lnamd64/3ddp/libudf.so(udf_dpm_source+0xbc)[0x2ba4a9e5abdf] /usr/ansys_inc/v121/fluent/fluent12.1.4/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.12.1.4[0x12c75fd] /usr/ansys_inc/v121/fluent/fluent12.1.4/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.12.1.4[0x12c7b03] /lib64/libpthread.so.0[0x32fca0eb10] libudf/lnamd64/3ddp/libudf.so(udf_dpm_source+0xbc)[0x2b4e4498bbdf] /ansys_inc/v121/fluent/fluent12.1.4/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.12.1.4[0x12c75fd] /ansys_inc/v121/fluent/fluent12.1.4/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.12.1.4[0x12c7b03] /lib64/libpthread.so.0[0x358aa0eb10] libudf/lnamd64/3ddp/libudf.so(udf_dpm_source+0xbc)[0x2b26ca38cbdf] Error : fluent 12.1.4 received a fatal signal (SEGMEMTATION VIOLATION). invalid commond [Stack] Does anyone know how to solve this error, or some special settings have to be done in fluent? Best regards! |

Hi Ryan
First check whether this issue pertains to UDF or not. Do it by decoupling the UDF file from cas file and run it. Let me know your answer. Also describe the problem (what are you simulating?). Regards mvee |

thanks for replying me . I'm try to solve the plastics combustion problem, and there are many different volatile species are released from the Discret Phase to the continus phase. so I want to use the DEFINE_DPM_SOURCE, with the macro C_DPMS_YI to realize the function... As you recommended, I first ran the simulation without coupling the UDF, and then compiled it. But the error is all the same... if you need more information to help me, please send me a message. Thanks a lot ! |

Hi Ryan
Can you say that this problem is not due to UDF? Looking to the error it seems that it is related to the installation or to the header files.....i guess. Remember to start fluent from VC command prompt and use compiler. Can you put down the UDF in to private message? Best wishes mvee |
