Acoustics modelling

Dear colleagues,

Those who advanced in acoustics research. I have a configuration to compute, a sort of Hartmann generator. It means, I have confined space. As I understand, there are two ways of computing the frequency of the acoustic oscillations. First, I do pure gasdynamic run and record the pressure at some locations, do FFT, get the power spectrum. Second, I include acoustic model of Fluent, do the computations, take the pressure receiver records, FFT, etc. Am I right?

Next question is if it is valid to use this FfWH acoustic model in Fluent for this case? Is not it supposed for far-field acoustics, like in a field around an aerofoil?

Thanks in advance!
