Natural convection

Hello,
I´m doing my final project and I have to use the program ANSYS.
I´m doing a simulation with fluent and I have a doubt. I want to see how the atmosphere affects in a cold element.
In my model there is a Natural convection. I have a mesh and it represents the atmosphere.(T=296.15K and P=101325Pa)

What is the diference between "transient calculation" and steady-state calculation.
What do I have to use?
Which parameters do I have to change in the "Solution Methods"?

Thank you very much.
